GOVERNANCE

The Association of Ohio Recyclers is governed by a code of regulations. The most recent revision of the code was voted upon at the 2017 Membership Meeting, December 17, 2017. 

The goal of AOR's Strategic Plan is to assist the Association of Ohio Recyclers (AOR) in identifying the  strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats the organization faces, and to provide the recommended steps needed to address them.

AOR has streamlined its board-led committee structure. The following describes the purpose of each of the 5 committees, the leadership and current participants in place, as well as its current enrollment/recruitment status:

Communications & Programming Committee  
Purpose: Increase awareness of sector and organization, and provide effective programming to members.
Co-Chairs: Molly Kathleen & Erin Oulton
Status: Active, welcoming AOR members to join our committee.

Event Planning Committee
Purpose: Develop and implement events including the annual Members Meeting, biennial AOR Conferences, and biennial Partners Conferences
Co-Chairs: Abby Vickers
Status: Active, welcoming AOR members to join our committee.

Governance Committee
Purpose: Ensure Board is fully staffed, important insurances are in place, and all members are trained and informed of any pressing issues; and all organizational filing requirements are met - state/federal filings, etc.
Chair: Matt Hittle
Status: Active, welcoming AOR members to join our committee.

Finance Committee  
Purpose: Ensure the budget and books are in order, membership data (dues, etc.) prepares for the annual audit, and submits tax information.
Co-Chairs: Carol Giulitto and Erin Oulton 

Status: Active, welcoming AOR members to join our committee.

Strategic Planning & Development Committee  
Purpose: Ensure the forward-thinking financial and strategic goals of the organization are being met.
Co-Chairs: John Woodman and Michael Darling
Status: Active, welcoming AOR members to join our committee.
